Ingredients Ground Beef Recipes

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (extra virgin)
  • ½ small white onion (diced)
  • 1 lb ground beef (ground chuck is preferred)
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • salt & pepper (to taste)
  • 4 cups beef broth (1 32 oz carton)
  • 8 oz mushrooms (optional, use a white button or baby Bella mushrooms – sliced)
  • 2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 4 cups egg noodles (dry, cook as directed on package)
  • 2 tablespoon parsley (optional – fresh, chopped)
  • Instructions

    • Add olive oil to a sizable frying pan or skillet and heat over medium. When the olive oil is shimmering, add the diced onion and sauté for two to three minutes, or until transparent. 8 ounces of mushrooms, 12 tiny white onions, and 1 tablespoon of olive oil
    • About 5 minutes after adding the ground beef, brown the meat. While the beef cooks, separate the ground beef into pieces. The pan should be drained of extra fat. 1 lb. of ground beef
    • While the ground beef is browning, prepare the noodles according to the directions on the package. Drain and rinse, then, if preferred, mix with butter or olive oil. Egg noodles, 4 cups
    • Beginning with about a half teaspoon of each, add the flour and seasoning (garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper), combining them with the browned ground beef once the sauce has come together. 2 teaspoons garlic powder, 1 teaspoon paprika, 1/4 cup all-purpose flour, and salt and pepper
  • Bring to a boil while stirring in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for approximately 10 minutes, or until sauce thickens, on low heat. 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce, 4 cups beef broth
  • Sour cream is added after the heat is turned off. Serve with parsley on top of cooked rice or noodles. 1/3 cup sour cream, 1/4 cup parsley
