Sunrise Sandwich
You will want to prepare one as soon as you wake up because it is so delicious.
We firmly feel that the original Egg McMuffin and many other breakfast sandwiches that have been available are marvels. However, not all portable breakfast foods are created equal, as a lot of them are loaded with unhealthy fats and carbohydrates.
Even the McMuffin can be considerably enhanced, and that’s exactly what we accomplish here by adding lycopene-rich tomato, lean turkey instead of Canadian bacon, and a spread of heart-healthy guacamole to top it all off.
Ingredients
- One Egg
- 1 teaspoon olive or canola oil
- To taste, add salt and black pepper.
- Smoked two-ounce turkey breast (Products made from smoked beef may be rich in salt. Choose a turkey with less than 500 mg of salt per serving.)
- One slice of pepper, cheddar, or American Jack cheese
- One slice of thick tomato
- One split and toasted whole-wheat English muffin
- One tablespoon of handmade or entirely guacamole
