When the pointer stops moving for a specified amount of time, you can set it to automatically take action. Users with motor limitations may benefit from this functionality.

Turn on automatic clicks

• Select the time in the lower right corner. Alternatively, hit Alt + Shift + s on your keyboard.
• Select Advanced, then Settings.
• Select Manage accessibility features from the “Accessibility” menu.
• Turn on Automatically click when the mouse cursor stops under “Mouse and touchpad.”
• Customize the settings for automatic clicks:
• Delay before clicking: You can specify how long your Chromebook should hesitate before clicking automatically.
• Keep your ring in one spot until your cursor moves outside of it to stabilise the click location.
• Revert to left click after action: After other activities, such as right click or double click, automatically return to left click.

• Adjust the size of your ring to click items within a defined range of movement.

Point to the thing you wish to click without physically pressing your mouse or touchpad.

Use different types of clicks

You can modify the actions your clicks take when you enable automated clicks.

1- Choose an action from the options at the bottom right:

• Left-click
• Right-click
• Double-click
• Drag and drop
• Scroll
• Menu position can be toggled.

2- Point to the location where you wish to carry out the action.

Select No action (pause) to halt automatic clicks.

Scroll as you hover

1. Select Scroll from the menu of automated clicks. A new menu with scrolling choices will display.

2. Select the scroll action you want to conduct by pointing to it:

• Left
• Right
• Top
• Bottom
• Close

Hover on a new scrollbar or page until the scroll menu goes to that area to alter where you scroll.
