Ingredients:

  • Semolina(suji) 2 ups
  • Gram flour(basen) 1 cup
  • Yogurt 1 ¼ cup
  • Cumin (zeera)seeds crushed ½ tsp
  • Turmeric(hldi) ¼ tsp
  • food salt 2 tsp
  • Garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Green chilies 4 grinded
  • Coriander(dhnia) leaves
  • cube stalks few
  • Red chili powder for topping
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Salt 1 tsp

Method:
Mix all the dry ingredients except eno, add yogurt, mix well, add 1 cup hot water, oil, garlic, green chilies and make into a thick batter, take a pan, big enough to hold a 10-inch tray, ¼ fill the pan with water and place a fine flat sieve in the pan, grease 10-inch tray and place on top of the sieve, divide the batter into half. In another bowl, add 1 tsp eno to this and mix well, pour this mixture into the greased tray, cover the pan with a lid, and keep until dry about 10 mins, remove the lid for the last min of steaming, when cool gently remove the dhokra out of the tray, decorate with chili powder and whole coriander leaves, steam the remaining half of the mixture in the same tray.
