Ingredients
- 12 slices thick-cut bacon
- 12 wooden skewers
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon vegetable shortening
Directions
1 Step
The oven should be preheated to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). A large baking sheet should be placed on top of a baking rack.
2 Step
Place the skewered bacon on the oven rack after threading each slice of bacon onto a skewer.
3 Step
Bacon should be baked in a preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until crisp. Remove from oven and allow to fully cool.
4 Step
Mix the shortening and chocolate chips in a bowl that can go in the microwave. Stir after each 30-second interval while heating in the microwave to achieve smooth, melted chocolate.
