Gur Wale Chawal Recipe
Ingredients:
- Rice fully boiled ½ kg
- Jaggery(gurr) ½ kg
- Water 1 ¼ cup
- Milk ½ cup
- Small cardamom(green ilachi) crushed 1 tbsp
- Clarified butter ½ cup
- Big cardamoms(bri ilachi) crushed 6
- Coconut sliced ½ cup
Method:
In a pan put 1 ¼ cup water with gurr, milk, crushed green cardamom, cook till gurr melts, remove dirt of gurr which comes out
. In another pan, heat ½ cup ghee, add black cardamom crushed with prepared gurr sheera, coconut sliced, cook for 2 mins, add boiled rice, mix well, cover pan and lid with a moist(geela) cloth and cook it on high flame for 5 mins, then lower flame and cook on dum for 25 mins till sheera dries completely.
