Worst Fast Food Meals
Worst Fast Food Meals, Many of us are trying to improve our diets, but it can be difficult to resist the temptation of a fast-food restaurant‘s drive-thru value meal. Value meals can give the impression that you are getting a cheap, quick lunch or dinner.
There is a line between delighting in value meals and going overboard. Before you’ve even eaten your meal, the supersizing, double, and triple patties may have sent you over the daily limit for calories, salt, fat, and sugar. According to holistic nutritionist Kristen Ciccolini, “There’s nothing to worry about if you are eating these infrequently and you feel well.” But the sodium content is what I’d be most worried about when eating these meals frequently. You should avoid the following 10 fast-food dishes due to their excessive sodium and calorie content.
1. McDonald’s Big Mac Combo Meal
avoiding sugar that has been added? You should either avoid this or get a diet soda, but that won’t make things better. According to Lisa Young, RDN, “This meal has artery-clogging fat from the cheese and meat, as well as additional sugar from the soda.” Not to mention that you’ll eat 1,080 calories in one meal. Skip this lunch if you can.
2. McDonald’s Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese Meal
This dish has 1,260 calories and significantly too much sodium. Young offers his opinion: “This meal makes you want to skip it since it contains more than 60% of the daily intake for sodium and more than 70% of the daily value for saturated fat.”
3. Arby’s Roast Turkey Ranch & Bacon Sandwich Meal
With 1,380 calories in one serving, this sandwich supper might bring some folks very near to their daily caloric allowance! The absurdly high salt content is also not good. The CDC advises against exceeding 2,300 mg of salt per day. According to Ciccolini, those who have high blood pressure may want to stay away from these meals.
