Pizza Hut Pakistan is the Pakistani franchisee of Pizza Hut. The company is owned by MCR (Pvt) Ltd, which is situated in Karachi, Pakistan. The first store opened in Karachi in 1993. Pizza Hut has locations in 23 major cities.

Pizza Hut began as a single restaurant in Wichita, Kansas, on June 15, 1958, by two brothers, Dan and Frank Carney, both Wichita State students. They launched a second location six months later, and within a year, they had six Pizza Hut locations. In 1959, the brothers started franchising. Chicago architect George Lindstrom created the signature Pizza Hut architectural style in 1963, and it was implemented in 1969.

Pizza Hut was purchased by PepsiCo in November 1977. On May 30, 1997, PepsiCo spun out Pizza Hut, along with Taco Bell and Kentucky Fried Chicken, and the three restaurant brands became part of a new business called Tricon Global Restaurants, Inc. On May 22, 2002, the company changed its name to Yum! Brands.

The oldest continually running Pizza Hut was in Manhattan, Kansas, near Kansas State University, in a shopping and bar district known as Aggieville. Lawrence Berberick and Gary Meyers launched the first Pizza Hut east of the Mississippi River in Athens, Ohio, in 1966.
The company launched a redesign on November 19, 2014, in an attempt to boost sales, which had been declining for the previous two years. The menu has been updated to include new crust flavors as well as 11 new specialty pizzas. Employees’ work outfits were also refreshed. Richtopia, a UK-based company, ranked Pizza Hut 24th on its list of the 200 Most Influential Brands in the World in 2017.

Pizza Hut was said to be bringing back its logo and the red roof design that was utilized from 1976 to 1999 on June 25 and 27, 2019. 

Pizza Hut announced on August 7, 2019, that it plans to close roughly 500 of its 7,496 dine-in stores in the United States by the middle of 2021.

Pizza Hut has notably sold in North America:

“Stuffed crust” pizza has the outermost edge wrapped around a cylinder of mozzarella cheese; “Hand-tossed” pizza has the outermost edge wrapped around a cylinder of mozzarella cheese;
“Thin ‘N Crispy,” Pizza Hut’s original kind of thin, crisp crust;
Pizza sliced into small strips that may be dipped in a variety of sauces; Dippin’ Strips pizza, a pizza cut into small strips that can be dipped in a variety of sauces;
The P’Zone is a calzone with a marinara dipping sauce that is available in plain, Supremo, Meaty, and Pepperoni varieties.
The Bigfoot pizza is the company’s most popular offering.

On March 26, 1995, the “stuffed-crust” pizza was unveiled. It was one of their most popular lines towards the end of the year.

The goods and bases show regional differences. With a baked rice dish called Curry Zazzle, the firm has expanded to Southeast Asia.

Pizza Hut introduced “The Natural” pizza on May 9, 2008, which had all-natural ingredients and was available in Seattle, Denver, and Dallas. In the Dallas market, this was phased out on October 27, 2009.
