- Split chickpeas soaked (daal chana) 2 cups
- Onion (chopped & squeezed) 1 cup
- Green coriander (chopped) 1/2 cup
- Green chilies (chopped) 2 tbsp
- Red chili powder 1 tbsp
- Coriander powder 1 ½ tsp
- Salt 1 tsp
- Cumin powder 1 tsp
- Oil (for frying) as required
- Oil 2 tbsp
- Onion (sliced) 1 cup
- Tomatoes (sliced) 1 ½ cup
- Green chilies 2-3
- Ginger pods 2-3
- Garlic cloves 2-3

- Prepared onion tomato puree
- Red chili powder 1 ½ tsp
- Cumin powder 1 tsp
- Coriander powder 1 ½ tsp
- Salt 1 tsp
- Yogurt 1 cup
- Hot water 1 cup
- Green coriander (chopped) for garnishing

Soak the split chickpeas and place them in a blender; mix until smooth.
