The D23 Expo, Disney’s twice-yearly fan conference, comes to an end today in Anaheim. Baby Yoda, but not before a slew of announcements for the company’s theme parks, including this one for Disneyland.

One of the most thrilling pieces of news, though, came in the form of a modest potato ball before we even got to the rides. Downtown Disney will soon be home to the nearly famous local chain, Porto’s Bakery & Cafe. And it’s Cuban pastries and sandwiches. It will be joining a Din Tai Fung location that has already been revealed (you can check out a new concept image of that below).

In terms of the park’s Marvel-themed area, Disney has now provided an update on the upcoming Avengers attraction, which was previously announced in 2019. The ride will now go across the multiverse, pitting a diverse cast of characters against King Thanos. A new iteration of the Mad Titan was made specifically for the park. Characters in the concept art include Daredevil, Man-Thing, various Hulks, Thors, and Captain America.

And Splash Mountain renovations are going to Disneyland. The musical Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway and the park-like Goofy’s How-to-Play Yard will both be part of Toontown when it reopens in 2023. Then, in 2024, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will have its premiere, featuring a number of the movie’s original voice performers.
