Khao Suey Recipe



For Qorma

  • Beef                             ½ kg
  • Onion                             3
  • Ginger Garlic Paste        3 tbsp
  • Red Chili Powder            1 tbsp
  • Coriander(dhnia) Powder    1 tsp
  • All Spice Powder         1 tsp
  • Turmeric(hldi) Powder             ½ tsp
  • Pepper Corns (black pepper)   1 tsp
  • Cloves(long)                             5
  • Green Cardamoms(ilachi)          8
  • Yogurt                          250 grams
  • Oil                             1 cup
  • Salt                             to taste
  • For Curry
  • Gram Flour (basen)     200 grams
  • Sour Yogurt                    ½ kg
  • Tomato Paste                 2 tbsp
  • Garlic Paste                     2 tbsp
  • Red Chili Powder             2 tbsp
  • Turmeric Powder              1 tsp
  • Coriander(dhnia) Powder   1 tsp
  • Whole Cumin(zeera)             ½ tsp
  • Oil                              2 tbsp
  • Salt                             to taste
  • For Serving
  • Boiled Spegatti               1 packet
  • Fried Onion (Sliced)        2
  • Lemon                             2
  • Coriander (hra dhnia)        ½ bunch
  • Mint(podina) Leaves           ½ bunch
  • Garlic (Fried)                 5 cloves


For qorma:

Take a cooking pan to add a cup of oil, heat the oil add 3onions fry till its brown take it out, and spread into the tissue paper then on the same oil add 3 tbsp of ginger garlic paste, add 1/2 kg of mutton mix it well and roasted. Now add 1 tsp of whole peppercorns, 5cloves, 8 green cardamoms and add as required water to cook the beef when it’s done add 250 grams of yogurt, rest of the onions mix it well and roasted and steam it when it’s done take it and set aside.


For the curry:

Take a mixing bowl add 200 grams of gram flour, ½ kg of sour yogurt, 2 tbsp of tomato paste, 2 tbsp of red chili paste, 1 tsp of turmeric powder, 1 tsp of coriander powder, and add to taste salt mix well and make a mixture. Take a cooking pan add 2 tbsp of oil, ½ tsp of cumin seeds, 2 tbsp of red chili powder, 2 tbsp of ginger garlic paste mix it, and roasted now add all the mixture in it mix it well when all the ingredients are cooked add water and its boiling on a low flame cook until its thick. Take a serving platter add 1 packet of boiled spaghetti pour the curry, qorma, 2-3 fried onions, 2-3 lemons, ½ bunch of coriander, ½ bunch of mint leaves,5 fried garlic cloves, and serve it hot.
