Lahori Chargha With Tomato Rice
Ingredients:
CHARGHA MARINATION:
- Chicken with bones 1 kg
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
- Green chili paste 1 tbsp
- Lemon juice 2 tbsp
- Yogurt ¼ cup
- Salt as required
- Red chili powder 1 tbsp
- Turmeric(haldi) powder ½ tsp
- All spice powder 1 tsp
- Black pepper ½ tsp
- Chaat masala 1 tsp
- Red-orange color few drops
- Oil for frying
TOMATO RICE:
- Rice 500 gm
- Oil ½ cup
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
- Green chili paste 1 tbsp
- Onion slices ½ cup
- Tomato paste 2- 3 tbsp
- Salt 1 tsp
- Chicken powder 1 tbsp
- Cumin(jeera) 1 tsp
- Cloves(long) 5
- Cinnamon(marching) 2- 3
- Star anise(badiyan k phool) 4-5
- Cardamom(elaichi) powder 1 tsp
METHOD:
Mix chicken drum sticks and all the ingredients in a mixing bowl and keep in the fridge for 2 hours. Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the chicken on low heat for 12 to 15 minutes. Then add oil to the pan. Heat and fry onion.
