Food Shortage Problems, National food shortages over the past year have severely impacted restaurants all around the country. The few products that have been challenging to find are ketchup packets and chicken wings, which have had a significant impact on several menu items. Taco Bell, a well-known chain of fast food restaurants, has now revealed that it is also impacted.

The community of Taco Bell has resorted to social media to criticize the food company for its lack of beef, chicken, tortillas, and hot sauce. Later, Taco Bell published a statement on their website that read, “Sorry if we can’t satisfy your present craving. We might not have certain items in stock because of national ingredient shortages and shipping delays. Fans of Taco Bell appear to be the most irate about the lack of bottled hot sauces among all the menu items impacted by the food shortage issue. “My Taco Bell told me there’s a mild sauce shortage and they ran out,” one Twitter user wrote. There are already too many product shortages. It’s serious now.

Similar problems with their ketchup containers earlier this year caused Taco Bell to struggle to meet demand. Particularly for takeout orders. Taco Bell did, however, warn CBS that “due to national transportation delays occurring throughout the majority of the industry, we may temporarily be out of various items.” Taco Bell has not specified which locations are affected by a shortage of which ingredients.
