Ingredients:

  • Butter 170 gm
  • Caster sugar(suger powder) 170 gm
  • Eggs 3
  • Coffee 3 tsp
  • Boiling water 1 tsp
  • Flour 200 gm
  • Baking powder 1 tsp

For Coffee Butter Cream:

  • Icing sugar(suger powder) 200 gm
  • Butter 90 gm
  • Coffee 3 tsp
  • Boiling water 1 tsp
  • Chocolate grated(kdukash) 1 oz

Method:
Mix the coffee with water and leave to cool. Beat the butter and sugar. Add the eggs one at a time. Pour in the cooled coffee, baking powder, and flour and stir until smooth. Pour into a greased and lined tin and bake at 180 degrees C for 50-60 minutes, until done. Leave to cool on a wire rack.

For the buttercream, mix the coffee with water and leave it to cool. Beat the butter and icing sugar before pouring in the cooled coffee. Mix until smooth. Use a palette knife to spread the buttercream onto the top of the cake. Grate the chocolate on top.
