How to Cook air fryer to prepare fish
This recipe for an air fryer is relatively easy to prepare, like most others. All the labor-intensive task is handled by the air fryer.
1. Step: Get the air fryer ready
To begin, prepare the air fryer to 200C/400F and apply cooking spray to the air fryer basket.
2. Step: Season the fish
Next, pat dry the tilapia fillets.
Use your hands to press the salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic in a bowl on both sides of the tilapia fillets.
3. Step: The tilapia is air-fried.
The fish should now be added to the air fryer basket, where it will cook for 7 to 8 minutes while being flipped halfway through.
4. Step: Produce the sauce
In a bowl, combine the butter, cilantro, lemon juice, and garlic.
Put plenty of sauce on the cooked tilapia fillets and top with additional cilantro.
Flavor Nuances
Use the same spices I use to season my blackened chicken to season the fish.
- Cajun: Season the fish with taco spice or cajun sauce.
- Spicy: To the spice mixture, add some cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes.
- Teriyaki: Ten minutes before air frying, dredge the fillets with teriyaki sauce.
- Lemon pepper: a timeless flavor. Black peppercorns and half a huge lemon juice should be applied to the fish.
Advice for creating the finest recipe
- To ensure that your tilapia cooks evenly, don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket.
- Use parchment paper to line the base of the basket if you are concerned that the fish will stick to it.
- During cooking, flip the tilapia fillets to prevent overcooking on one side.
Storing and freezing instructions
- To store: Leftovers can be kept for up to three days in the refrigerator with a cover on.
- Reheating: Either reheat the fish in the air fryer for two minutes or in the microwave for 20 to 30 seconds, until the edges are crispy.
- To freeze: Place cooked and cooled tilapia can in an airtight container and store in the freezer for up to two months.
