Breakfast made from everyone’s favorite gooey spiral dessert is rich, creamy, and satisfying! Less than ten minutes of preparation time makes these overnight oats, inspired by cinnamon rolls, ideal for a quick and satisfying breakfast.

INGREDIENTS

OATS

  • 1 Cup old fashioned oats
  • 1 Cup milk of choice
  • 2 To 3 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon cinnamon

FROSTING TOPPING (optional)

  • 1/4 Cup cream cheese, room temperature
  • 2 Tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/3 Cup powdered sugar (more or less to taste)
  • 2 Tablespoons milk

HOW TO MAKE IT

You should try preparing overnight oats if you’re constantly rushing and wind up skipping breakfast as a result. They are prepared the night before so that you may just grab and go in the morning, in case the name didn’t already give it away. Given that it only requires ten minutes of preparation, this may be the easiest breakfast you have ever made. The most difficult part is having to wait all night for everything to be ready, but if you prepare it the night before, it will be ready when you wake up and simply need to open the refrigerator!

THE INGREDIENTS YOU NEED:

  • Old-fashioned rolled oats
  • Milk of choice (almond, oat, 2% milk)
  • Brown sugar
  • Vanilla extract
  • Cinnamon

To thicken overnight, simply put all the ingredients in a jar or other container you have, seal it, and place it in the refrigerator. Wait at least four hours, or until the oats have absorbed the majority of the milk if you are unable to wait overnight. Feel free to change the amount of milk to suit your preference for thin or thick overnight oats.

INGREDIENTS

You can also add one or both of the following to increase the protein content:

  • Greek yogurt

Add one to two teaspoons of chia seeds for additional fiber!

All you have to do is mix cream cheese, milk, powdered sugar, and unsalted butter at room temperature.
